SHOW UP REFORMATION ENACTMENT GROUP
Vision
The SHOW UP Reformation Enactment Group, SURE, envisions a society and community where all children in the foster care system have the opportunity and access to support teams and needed encouragement to successfully complete high school, with plans for future stability
We aim to provide the additional guidance, foundation, and platform to the overpopulated foster care system, that children without the family support system do not receive. CSU Global.edu states “a strong support system has psychological and emotional benefits from increased self-esteem to lowered blood pressure. Support systems also help students alleviate mental distress and increase their ability to cope”. According to Texas.gov/special student populations, “students in foster care have the lowest graduation rate (62.6%) and highest dropout rate (25%). Our Mission is to be a barrier in the flow of students in foster care who succumb to their environment and or lack of additional support.

SHOWUP Conference /Nation/ Reformation Enactment Group embodies three unique entities merged into one.
The Conference side focuses on Ministry and if we are to be empowered and utilize the God given authority within us, that we have to SHOWUP for the assignment. This is based off the wedding feast in the Bible where everything was prepared and when the announcement was sent out, everyone who were invited had an excuse why they could not come. God has called and chosen us for greatness, but if we do not SHOWUP and SHOWUP prepared, we will not obtain what God has for us.
The Nation side of SHOWUP is an Instagram based discussion, healing, and informational page focusing not on those who didn’t show up, but how we navigate and overcome to still become who we are purposed to be. Whether mother or father was not present in childhood, or unwarranted circumstances in life people did not protect or show up as a person thought they should, this place is for the overcomer to shed light on a path that may still be dark for some. SHOWUP Nation will bring together voices that will tell the reader, you can make it. It’s not impossible. Regardless of who did not show up for you, you SHOWUP for yourself.
The Reformation Enactment Group is the non profit advocacy division of SHOWUP. We partnership with foster care programs to provide support teams, guidance, life skills, educational tools and development to youth ages 10 – transitional periods within the foster care system. According to Texas.gov students in foster care have the lowest graduation rate and highest drop out rate. Our mission is to build a barrier to minimize the flow of students in foster care who succumb to their environments and lack of additional support.
